Power Platform Architect - AI

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy and Program Leadership

• Define and execute the enterprise Power Platform strategy, roadmap, and operating model.
• Turn business priorities into a clear delivery plan with measurable outcomes.
• Identify and prioritize high-value automation, low-code, data, and AI opportunities.
• Advise senior business and technology leaders on platform capabilities, investments, risks, and adoption.
• Drive program maturity while balancing speed, innovation, governance, and supportability.

Architecture and Governance

• Define solution architecture, integration patterns, security standards, environment strategy, and platform guardrails.
• Establish and mature Power Platform governance and Center of Excellence capabilities.
• Create reusable frameworks, components, standards, and reference architectures.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, data, privacy, security, compliance, and application lifecycle management requirements.
• Monitor platform health, technical debt, capacity, licensing considerations, and operational risks.

Delivery and Execution

• Lead solutions from intake and design through build, testing, deployment, adoption, and support transition.
• Drive multiple initiatives, manage dependencies, remove blockers, and maintain delivery momentum.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and step into solution design or troubleshooting when needed.
• Ensure solutions are practical, scalable, maintainable, and focused on measurable business value.
• Build accountability across delivery teams and communicate progress, decisions, risks, and actions clearly.

Enablement and Adoption

• Mentor architects, developers, analysts, makers, and citizen developers.
• Establish practical guidance that enables teams without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
• Promote reusable solutions, disciplined engineering practices, and responsible platform adoption.
• Partner with business teams to improve adoption and realize expected benefits.
• Stay current on Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365, Azure, and relevant AI capabilities.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Supports the organization's quality program(s).
• Travel to client sites as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Technology, or a related field preferred.

Equivalent combination of education, professional certifications, and relevant work experience will be considered.

Experience

Twelve (12)+ years of experience in software engineering, application delivery, solution architecture, or enterprise technology leadership.

Seven (7)+ years of hands-on Microsoft Power Platform experience, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse.

Five (5)+ years leading enterprise-scale Power Platform programs, governance initiatives, platform architecture, or Center of Excellence capabilities.

Skills & Knowledge

• Demonstrated experience establishing architecture standards, governance models, security controls, environment strategies, and application lifecycle management practices.
• Proven track record of delivering complex business solutions from concept through production and adoption.
• Experience integrating Power Platform with Microsoft 365, Azure services, APIs, data platforms, and enterprise applications.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders and explain technical decisions in clear business language.
• Ability to work independently in a remote U.S. environment and lead effectively across distributed teams.
• Experience with Copilot Studio, AI agents, generative AI, and intelligent automation.
• Experience building or leading a Power Platform Center of Excellence or enterprise citizen development program.
• Microsoft Power Platform solution architect or developer certifications.
• Experience with Azure integration, identity, security, DevOps, and enterprise data services.
• Extremely delivery-focused, accountable, and outcome-oriented.
• Strategic thinker who can convert vision into a practical plan and execute it.
• Hands-on leader who is comfortable solving difficult problems and working through ambiguity.
• Strong collaborator who can align business and technology stakeholders.
• Pragmatic architect who enables progress while maintaining appropriate standards and controls.
• Clear communicator who raises risks early and drives decisions and follow-through.
