Infrastructure Coordinator

The Infrastructure Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and execution of infrastructure projects within mining environments. This position works closely with engineering, construction, operations, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders to coordinate infrastructure activities and ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements, schedules, and budgets.

Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Project Coordination

• Coordinate the planning and execution of mining infrastructure projects, including roads, water management systems, site services, facilities, earthworks, and other mine-site infrastructure.
• Support Project Managers, Construction Managers, and Engineers with day-to-day coordination of project activities.
• Coordinate project scopes, schedules, deliverables, and site requirements across multiple disciplines.
• Track project progress and identify issues, constraints, and changes that may impact schedule, cost, or execution.
• Assist with planning and coordinating construction activities, site access, logistics, and work fronts.

Contractor & Consultant Coordination

• Coordinate activities between contractors, consultants, engineering teams, suppliers, and site operations.
• Assist with developing scopes of work, work packages, and contractor requirements.
• Monitor contractor progress and support the resolution of field issues and technical queries.
• Coordinate contractor mobilization, site requirements, and project documentation.
• Support contractor meetings, progress reviews, and project coordination meetings.

Engineering & Technical Coordination

• Coordinate engineering deliverables and ensure information is available to support construction and field execution.
• Review drawings, specifications, reports, and other technical documentation for completeness and alignment with project requirements.
• Coordinate responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), technical queries, and scope changes.
• Work with engineering and construction teams to identify and resolve technical and field coordination issues.
• Support design reviews and constructability reviews where required.

Schedule, Cost & Reporting

• Assist with maintaining project schedules and tracking progress against key milestones.
• Support quantity tracking, progress measurement, and cost reporting.
• Maintain project trackers, action items, and status reports.
• Identify potential schedule, cost, and resource impacts and communicate them to the project team.
• Support preparation of weekly and monthly project reports.

Site & Construction Support

• Coordinate site activities to ensure infrastructure work is aligned with mine operations and other ongoing project activities.
• Support construction planning, inspections, quality control, and project turnover.
• Assist with coordinating site access, temporary facilities, laydown areas, utilities, water management, and other infrastructure requirements.
• Participate in site walks, progress meetings, inspections, and field coordination activities.
• Support commissioning, handover, closeout, and completion of infrastructure projects.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure project activities are completed in accordance with company, client, and regulatory requirements.
• Support quality assurance and quality control processes throughout project execution.
• Ensure project documentation and records are maintained accurately and in accordance with project requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve project coordination, construction processes, and infrastructure delivery.
