In the role of IT Data Center Infrastructure Coordinator at Micron Technology, you will manage routine operations, planning, and maintenance for enterprise-level data centers. You will define and coordinate data center architectural standards. You will also work with global teams to develop build requirements. You will coordinate with Facilities, Network, Compute, Storage, Security, and Infrastructure Engineering teams. This role involves maintaining physical facility systems to ensure they are stable, secure, and able to support business and technology demands.
This role serves as the primary coordinator for activities related to data center facilities, including facilities support, structured cabling services, capacity management, infrastructure lifecycle planning, and operational readiness. You will help guide progress across multiple teams while ensuring alignment with operational procedures and service expectations.
Responsibilities:
- 5+ years of experience supporting data center operations, infrastructure deployment, facilities coordination, and projects involving multi-functional infrastructure teams.
- Manage daily enterprise data center operations, including infrastructure installations, moves, adds, changes, decommissions, and lifecycle management activities.
- Monitor and optimize data center capacity, space, power, cooling, environmental requirements, and DCIM accuracy using AI/ML-driven insights.
- Lead structured cabling operations, including rack installations, pathway management, cable documentation, labeling standards, and infrastructure record accuracy.
- Coordinate with Network, Server, Storage, Facilities, vendors, and contractors to deliver infrastructure projects on schedule and in compliance with standards.
- Serve as the primary IT liaison for facilities activities involving power, cooling, environmental systems, physical security, maintenance planning, and site readiness initiatives.
- Support data center expansion, capacity forecasting, equipment deployments and retirements, asset management, floor layout documentation, and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
- Maintain operational governance through audits, compliance reviews, reporting, incident management, continuous improvement efforts, and vendor/contractor oversight.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience providing support for enterprise or corporate data center environments.
- Familiarity with DCIM, asset management, or tools that help manage resource availability.
- Knowledge of structured cabling standards and established guidelines.
- Experience coordinating facilities maintenance and infrastructure modernization activities.
- ITIL, CDCP, BICSI, or related industry certifications.
## Preferred Qualifications:
- Ensure successful delivery of data center cabling, infrastructure, and maintenance projects.
- Maintain accurate documentation of data center capacity, infrastructure assets, and operational limits.
- Coordinate effectively across Facilities, Infrastructure, Network, and Engineering teams to support business objectives.
- Drive compliance with data center operational, security, and governance standards.
- Deliver high-quality infrastructure services that achieve strong collaborator and campus customer happiness.
