SDET 2

The Role

As an SDET 2 at AiDASH, you will own the quality of the AI-powered applications behind our offerings. You will understand application requirements and architecture, then build test strategies that cover both functional behaviour and performance. Your work will include API automation using Java and RestAssured, data validation, performance testing with tools like JMeter, and monitoring application health after release. You will also validate the accuracy of AI/ML-driven outputs and use AI tools to speed up how you test. Success means shipping reliable, high-performing applications that help our teams deliver faster. 

How you'll make an impact: 

• Creating comprehensive test strategies that validate both functional and performance aspects of the system under test 

• Analysing functional and non-functional requirements from a coverage and impact perspective, and designing effective and efficient test cases 

• Writing robust and maintainable API test automation using Java and the RestAssured framework, along with other tools and scripts that make testing more efficient 

• Contributing to enhancing the automation framework based on the needs of the project/requirements 

• Performing data validation testing across APIs, databases like Postgres and MongoDB, and the outputs of data processing solutions 

• Conducting performance testing and benchmarking of applications using tools like JMeter 

• Preparing test data for QA validations by coordinating with multiple teams and ramping up quickly across different contexts 

• Creating the automation pipeline using Jenkins or other build tools to trigger the automation, and using reporting tools like ExtentReports or Allure for clear and detailed test reports 

• Monitoring post-production application health and alerts, including working with Kubernetes clusters and AWS services to check service health and logs 

• Documenting and managing defects throughout their lifecycle, conducting root cause analysis, and coordinating with Test and Development team members to resolve issues 

• Contributing to the quality of our upcoming in-house orchestration platform, a one-stop solution for invoking and reporting on the various data processing solutions. 

What we're looking for: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed university with good academic results is preferred 

• Hands-on experience testing backend applications, with strong skills in API testing and data validation testing 

• Hands-on experience in API automation using Java and RestAssured, and/or Python scripting, with a good understanding of test frameworks 

• Experience in performance testing using tools like JMeter 

• Hands-on experience with databases like Postgres and MongoDB, and writing queries for data validation 

• Knowledge of AWS services and experience working with Kubernetes clusters for checking service health and logs 

• Understanding of queues and caching 

• Strong attention to detail and curiosity to understand the internal workings of software 

• Good analytical skills and decision making ability, with the ability to work in a team as well as an individual 

• Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

• Good to have: gRPC basics, Airflow DAGs, web application testing and automation using Selenium/Playwright, knowledge of testing and validating ML/AI based applications, and use of AI tools and editors for increased velocity of work
