SDET 2 - Platform

The Role

As an SDET 2 at AiDASH, you will own the quality of the AI-powered applications behind our offerings. You will understand application requirements and architecture, then build test strategies that cover both functional behaviour and performance. Your work will include API automation using Java and RestAssured, data validation, performance testing with tools like JMeter, and monitoring application health after release. Success means shipping reliable, high-performing applications that help our teams deliver faster. 

How you'll make an impact: 

Requirements understanding & test strategy  

• Understand requirements, design, and architecture of Platform applications and data-processing solutions that power most AiDASH applications. 

Coverage & test design  

• Analyze functional and non-functional requirements from a coverage and impact perspective. 

• Design effective, efficient test cases and trace them to acceptance criteria. 

API & framework automation  

• Write robust, maintainable API automation in Java using rest-assured, plus supporting tools/scripts that improve test efficiency. 

• Contribute to automation framework enhancements driven by project needs. 

Data validation across the stack  

• Perform data validation across APIs, databases (Postgres, MongoDB), and outputs of data-processing solutions. 

Cross-layer debugging  

• Debug issues across application and infrastructure layers — not only API or UI (services, queues, DBs, K8s, AWS, pipeline outputs). 

Performance testing 

• Conduct performance testing and benchmarking using tools such as JMeter. 

Test data & context switching  

• Prepare test data for QA validations by coordinating across teams and ramping quickly across contexts. 

CI/CD & reporting  

• Build and maintain automation pipelines with Jenkins (or equivalent) and report with Allure. 

Production / ops quality  

• Monitor post-production health and alerts; work with Kubernetes and AWS to check service health and logs. 

Defect lifecycle & collaboration 

• Document and manage defects end-to-end, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate with Test and Development to resolve issues. 

Beyond traditional STLC execution, you will design, operate, and continuously improve agentic AI workflows that guide discovery, test planning, automation authoring, execution, triage, reporting, and production validation so quality is consistent, auditable, and faster without skipping governance 

What we're looking for: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed university with good academic results is preferred 

• Hands-on experience testing backend applications, with strong skills in API testing and data validation testing 

• Hands-on experience in API automation using Java and RestAssured, and/or Python scripting, with a good understanding of test frameworks 

• Experience in performance testing using tools like JMeter 

• Hands-on experience with databases like Postgres and MongoDB, and writing queries for data validation 

• Knowledge of AWS services and experience working with Kubernetes clusters for checking service health and logs 

• Understanding of queues and caching 

• Strong attention to detail and curiosity to understand the internal workings of software 

• Good analytical skills and decision making ability, with the ability to work in a team as well as an individual 

• Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

• Good to have: gRPC basics, Airflow DAGs, web application testing and automation using Selenium/Playwright, knowledge of testing and validating ML/AI based applications, and use of AI tools and editors for increased velocity of work
