Where You’ll Make a Difference
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities in compliance with US GAAP and IFF financial policies.
- Prepare and submit US GAAP financial reporting in accordance with corporate reporting requirements.
- Coordinate annual external audits and prepare statutory financial reports, including reconciliations between US GAAP and local GAAP.
- Manage local tax compliance activities, including corporate income tax, VAT, and other indirect tax filings as required.
- Support internal audits and ensure compliance with SOX and internal control requirements.
- Provide accounting and documentation support during tax audits and government inspections.
- Partner with Shared Service Centers to support end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes.
- Coordinate local payments and accounting activities, including tax payments, payroll-related payments, and other statutory obligations.
What Makes You the Right Fit
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years and up to 8 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Solid knowledge of US GAAP, local GAAP, taxation, statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes, financial controls, and business ethics standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and results-driven mindset.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and networking skills.
- Proficiency in accounting systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluency in both Japanese and English; additional local language skills are advantageous.
How Would You Stand Out?
- Professional accounting certification such as ACCA, CIMA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a multinational company, shared services environment, or public accounting/audit firm.
- Experience supporting external audits, SOX compliance, and cross-border accounting operations.
