About Our Family
We’re a warm, busy professional family with a welcoming home in Los Altos. Both parents have full and demanding professional lives and we really value having a home that feels grounded, organized, and full of warmth. At the heart of our home is our energetic toddler, who brings so much joy, curiosity, and energy to our days and attends preschool a couple of afternoons each week.
We’re a family that genuinely enjoys our time together. We like to have fun, laugh often, and keep our home feeling joyful and connected, even during busier seasons. Whether it’s spending time together after a full day, enjoying simple family routines, or creating little moments of play and connection, we really value the feeling of home being a place where everyone can exhale. We would love to find someone who can naturally fit into that energy while bringing a thoughtful, proactive approach - someone who is warm, kind, engaged, and ready to jump in where needed.
Our home operates best when the kitchen is well stocked, meals are thoughtfully planned, systems are running smoothly, and the little details are handled before they become stressful. We care about healthy eating, a calm and organized environment, and having someone in our corner who genuinely enjoys creating ease for our family. The right person will take pride in things like a beautifully organized pantry, a fridge stocked with nourishing options, a well-executed meal prep plan, and household systems that make everyone’s days feel lighter.
For us, great household support is both practical and personal. This role is about helping create a home that feels prepared, peaceful, and cared for, while also honoring the fun, loving, and playful energy that makes our family feel like us.
Who You Are / What We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate is warm, proactive, grounded, and genuinely great with young children. You bring a calm, cheerful presence into the home and know how to read the room, adjust your approach, and support the household in a way that feels thoughtful and intuitive. You are friendly and personable, but also highly professional and dependable.
You are not looking for a role where every task is assigned step by step. Instead, you are someone who walks in, observes, assesses, and acts. You can see what needs attention, prioritize effectively, and follow through with care. You enjoy helping a family build better systems, not simply maintain existing ones. Whether that means improving kitchen organization, streamlining household routines, coordinating with vendors, or anticipating what will make the week run more smoothly, you enjoy bringing structure and calm to a busy home.
You have demonstrated experience in a private household or similarly high-touch environment where discretion, organization and strong follow-through are essential. Being detail-oriented, flexible when priorities shift, and deeply reliable comes naturally to you. You’re comfortable working alongside a full-time nanny and a weekly cleaning team, and you know how to communicate with other household support in a gracious, collaborative, and professional way.
We are looking for someone with demonstrated experience, maturity, and confidence - someone who can become a true strategic partner to our family and help create a home that feels organized, welcoming, well cared for, and easy to enjoy.
