Position Summary...
This role leads the Pharmacy and Vision Care Operations teams and supports corporate and regional management. The role sets expectations for implementing field merchandise strategies and operations, with responsibility for P&L results.
What you'll do...
As a Director, Health & Wellness Regional Operations, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, business performance, and leadership development across a portfolio of stores within your assigned region. Partnering closely with store leaders, you will identify strategic priorities, optimize operational effectiveness, and implement initiatives that enhance performance, improve customer experience, and ensure alignment with organizational standards.
In this role, you will leverage data, performance metrics, and operational insights to assess business opportunities, identify root causes of performance gaps, and develop action plans that drive sustainable improvements. You will champion continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring operational consistency while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and high performance.
A critical aspect of this position is coaching and developing store leaders. You will serve as a trusted advisor and mentor, supporting career development, strengthening leadership capabilities, and building succession pipelines across the region. Through effective communication and clear performance expectations, you will ensure consistent execution of operational processes, brand standards, and customer experience objectives.
You will also hold accountability for delivering strong financial and business results across the region. By closely monitoring key performance indicators, including sales, prescription growth, profitability, operating income, productivity, shrink, and overall store performance, you will identify opportunities to drive growth and enhance operational efficiency. Regular review of financial results, including profit and loss performance, will enable you to develop strategies that maximize revenue, improve profitability, and increase market share.
Working collaboratively with cross-functional partners and regional leadership teams, you will play a key role in executing business strategies, supporting organizational initiatives, and ensuring stores are well-positioned to achieve both short-term objectives and long-term success.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Healthcare Administration, Pharmacy Operations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in multi-unit retail, pharmacy, healthcare, or operational management environments.
Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing managers across multiple locations to achieve operational and financial objectives.
Strong business acumen with experience managing key performance indicators (KPIs) including sales, profitability, operating income, shrink, labor productivity, and customer service metrics.
Proven experience conducting operational assessments, identifying performance gaps, determining root causes, and implementing corrective action plans.
Strong financial management skills with the ability to analyze P&L statements, interpret business results, and develop strategies to improve performance.
Experience driving operational excellence through standardized processes, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Exceptional leadership, coaching, and talent development skills with the ability to build high-performing teams and succession pipelines.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, make sound business decisions, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools used to analyze operational and financial performance.
Ability to travel regularly within the assigned region.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in pharmacy, healthcare retail, or a highly regulated retail environment.
Advanced knowledge of operational excellence methodologies, performance management practices, and change management principles.
Experience leading large geographic regions with multiple locations and diverse teams.
Demonstrated success improving market share, customer experience, and overall business performance through strategic operational initiatives.
Strong understanding of workforce planning, succession management, and career development programs.
