Director, Product and Development
MRI Software is seeking a Director to lead the Facilities and Property Management product and development teams. This role owns the product and engineering roadmap for MRI's facilities and property management SaaS and Ordered Services vertical, and plays a central part in transformation activities tied to acquisition integration. The Director will work closely with product, engineering, and go to market teams across regions, with regular travel to the APAC region to support integration and product initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the product and development strategy for the Facilities and Property Management entity, aligning roadmap decisions with company priorities and customer needs.
- Lead and develop the product management and engineering teams responsible for Facilities and Property Management solutions.
- Drive transformation and integration activities associated with acquisitions, including product rationalization, platform alignment, and team centralization and regional integration.
- Partner with regional leadership across North America, EMEA, and APAC to align product direction with local market requirements.
- Manage the end to end product lifecycle, from discovery and roadmap planning through release and adoption.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services, and Marketing on go to market execution for facilities and property management offerings.
- Establish clear processes and governance for engineering delivery, quality, and release management across the portfolio.
- Apply strong technical judgment to platform, architecture, and integration decisions, serving as a credible technical partner to engineering leadership.
- Identify and deliver AI use cases embedded into core workflows, not bolt ons.
- Leverage LLMs, RAG architectures, and agentic AI patterns to improve customer outcomes and internal efficiency.
- Define and scale AI platform capabilities, including model lifecycle, RAG systems, agent orchestration, data pipelines, and governance.
- Drive Engineering execution of AI platform services and AI assisted development practices.
- Represent the Facilities and Property Management product line in executive reviews and customer engagements.
- Support due diligence and post acquisition planning for facilities and property management related transactions.
- Travel approximately 30 percent of the time, primarily to the APAC region, to support integration work and build relationships with regional teams and customers.
Qualifications
- 10 or more years of experience in product management or product development leadership, including direct ownership of a multi product SaaS portfolio.
- Experience leading facilities management, property management, or related real estate technology products.
- A track record of leading teams through acquisition integration or other major organizational transformation.
- Experience managing globally distributed product and engineering teams, ideally including experience with APAC markets.
- Strong technical acumen, with the ability to engage directly with engineering teams on architecture, platform, and integration decisions.
- Experience delivering AI use cases embedded directly into product workflows, with practical experience applying LLMs, RAG architectures, and agentic AI patterns to improve customer outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Strong understanding of modern SaaS architectures, including microservices, APIs, and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Proven ability to operate and influence at the executive level across Product, Engineering, and GTM stakeholders.
- Strong background in APIs, system integrations, and partner extensibility within a SaaS platform.
- Familiarity with modern and traditional IoT architectures, platforms, protocols, and security standards.
- Familiarity with integration with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Dynamics Finance, with CRM systems such as Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and with building management and IoT platforms.
- Familiarity with high scalability, high performance design.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with Sales and Customer Success on go to market strategy and execution.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally, approximately 30 percent of the time, with a focus on the APAC region.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field required.
- Graduate degree required.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in commercial or residential real estate software, facilities management software, or property management platforms.
- Experience integrating acquired products or teams into an existing platform or portfolio.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, ideally Microsoft Azure.
- Exposure to AI or automation capabilities embedded in product workflows, such as intelligent workflows, predictive insights, or AI assisted operations.
- A systems thinking approach, with a track record of favoring platform level solutions over one off point fixes.
- Experience presenting to executive leadership and representing a product line in customer facing settings.
