Description
The Financial Advisor will be responsible for providing personalized financial advice and strategies to a diverse client base, focusing on wealth management, investment strategies, retirement planning, and risk management. This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional client service, and the ability to build lasting relationships. The Financial Advisor will work closely with the Financial Services Department.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain an established book of business, and new business.
- Transition book of business to peers as needed.
- Assist in the development of our referral sourcing program at United.
- Solicit prospects, meet with prospective clients & write new business.
- Oversee compliance within the FS Department.
- Maintain all active/required licenses.
- Meet new business sales goals set by the company.
- Work to extend client relationships to other products and services offered by United Insurance.
- Maximize growth and retention through superior customer service.
- Introduce yourself to United and our vendor partners.
- Maintain a professional connection among clients, the agency, and vendors.
- Provide professional financial advice to clients and prospects.
- Travel as needed.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; a master’s degree or relevant certification (CFA, CFP) is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in financial advisory or wealth management.
- Relevant licenses required.
- Proven track record of managing client relationships and meeting sales targets.
- Strong analytical skills and financial skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, CRM systems).
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth understanding of financial products and services, market trends, and regulatory requirements.

Compensation: $50,000 - $100,000 annually, plus commission on new business.
The anticipated starting salary for this position is based on several factors, including the candidate's experience, skills, education, certifications, location, and internal equity.
