CDL-A Semi-Local Retail Driver – Good Pay + $5K Bonus | Home Weekly
Earn $105,000 per year hauling no-touch retail freight to stores throughout the Northeast. This dedicated semi-local position offers a $5,000 bonus, set workdays, and the opportunity to get home several times during the workweek plus a 34-hour reset.

Job Details
- Haul general retail freight to stores using drop-and-hook and live-unload operations.
- Pick up loaded trailers from customer distribution centers.
- Deliver to retail stores, including two Long Island locations outside New York City.
- Complete third-party backhaul pickups in New England, New York, and New Jersey as needed.
- Freight may include drop-and-hook, live unload, and live-load operations.
- Maintain on-time pickups, transit, and deliveries.
- Support intermodal operations, other dedicated accounts, and third-party loads when freight volume is low.
- Account operates 24/7 and requires flexibility for customer service needs.
Shift Details
- Thursday–Monday schedule
- Start time between 11:00 PM and 12:00 AM
- Home approximately 2–3 days during the workweek
- Home for a 34-hour reset
- Routes may vary during peak season from October through January
- Rotating sixth workdays may be required around Easter, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
- Holiday work is not guaranteed off
Job Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
- DOT Medical Card
- Clean driving record
- No SAP drivers
- Ability to meet strict on-time service expectations
- Flexibility to support intermodal, dedicated, and third-party freight
- Reliable personal transportation to and from work
- Passengers and pets are not permitted
Equipment & Training
- Assigned automatic trucks
- Slip seating may be required when equipment is unavailable
- Drivers generally start and end shifts at the East Brunswick yard
- Trucks are not designated for home time
- Online onboarding begins at 10:00 AM and lasts approximately half a day
- Account-specific training lasts approximately 8 days
- Personal transportation is required during local training
- Drivers are responsible for transportation to and from onboarding and training
