To drive our next phase of growth in cellular, wireless peripherals and 4G/5G, we are expanding the system test and correlation group. At SLT our vision is “To Design, Develop & Deliver (3D’s) best-in-class system test solutions to exceed every Customer’s Quality goal at lowest Cost using the most advanced technologies of silicon industry”. The system level test group is responsible to stress and break the system on Qualcomm leading-edge Snapdragon products in the most advanced processes. In this role you will be member of a team working on IC design review, IC hardware testing, software development, system engineering, and customer applications.

This position offers the candidate an opportunity to lead innovative engineering test solutions to evaluate Qualcomm’s leading-edge products based on advanced process technologies. The candidate will be a vital member of a cross-functional global team, working closely with engineers from the digital design, software, design verification, hardware architecture, and product management teams. The candidate will be responsible for project planning (tasks, timelines, resourcing, budgeting) and tracking progress of SLT deliverables to the broader product team. The candidate is expected to present the project updates and matrices to management team periodically. A successful candidate needs to be proactive, able to work in a highly dynamic environment, enthusiastic to work at times as an individual contributor and be passionate about delivering quality work.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

Qualifications

• 14+ years in SoC or Electronics Project Management, System Test, Automation, Computer Engineering experience or related work experience.
• Ability to define and drive product test hardwares design and interface with electronics test board design and simulations team.
• Ability to lead production test platform road-map and interact with vendors to ensure execution of futuristic platform development as per plan.
• Ability to define and drive key performance indicator matrices for effective deliverable of team, interaction with other functional groups etc.
• Background in semiconductor engineering, manufacturing process, wireless standards and a background in the design and test of wireless products.
• Experience as an engineering lead driving development of test solutions, review/define test requirements and driving customer quality improvement initiatives.
• Ability to drive teams across GEOs is required.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in leading the test engineering team with project ownership.
• Familiarity with Qualcomm chipsets, ARM architecture, Test Sequencers, Automated Test Equipment (ATE) is a plus.
• Thorough working knowledge of android architecture, boot process, kernel, coreBSP and android performance
• Development experience in C# / Java / C++ / Perl / Python
• Ability to customize software builds, familiarity with Software Configuration Management System (SCM) and tools like Perforce, GIT, or other Source Control SW.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$162,600.00 - $244,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
