Director, Technical Program Management

Position Summary...

The Director, Program Management, India Subsidiary organization Liaison serves as the primary Product representative connecting Walmart Enterprise and Subsidiary organization. This role is responsible for creating a structured, two-way exchange of product and technology insights, capabilities, and strategic priorities between the organizations.

Working closely with Subsidiary organization leadership, Walmart International, and Walmart Enterprise product organizations, this leader helps identify opportunities for collaboration, surfaces potential duplication, accelerates capability sharing, and ensures key product and technology developments are visible across the broader Walmart ecosystem.

This is a highly strategic individual contributor role requiring exceptional product judgment, executive influence, relationship-building skills, and the ability to operate effectively across multiple organizations without direct authority.

The role is based within Subsidiary organization and serves as a trusted partner to both Subsidiary organization and Walmart Enterprise leadership.

Strengthen Walmart Enterprise and Subsidiary organization Collaboration

• Serve as the primary product and technology liaison between Walmart Enterprise and Subsidiary organization.
• Build strong relationships with Subsidiary organization product, technology, and business leaders as well as Walmart Enterprise product organizations.
• Establish a structured operating model for cross-market collaboration, knowledge sharing, and strategic engagement.

Drive Product and Technology Knowledge Exchange

• Identify opportunities for Walmart Enterprise and Subsidiary organization to learn from one another across product management, technology platforms, operating models, and business capabilities.
• Facilitate the transfer of relevant best practices between organizations, particularly in areas such as supply chain, merchandising, fulfillment, data, AI, marketplace, advertising, and customer experience.
• Create mechanisms that enable reusable knowledge sharing rather than one-time conversations.
• Coordinate access to subject matter experts and product leaders across both organizations.

Identify Collaboration and Duplication Opportunities

• Monitor product and technology investments across Walmart Enterprise and Subsidiary organization to identify areas where similar problems may be solved independently.
• Conduct discovery with relevant stakeholders to understand potential overlap, reuse opportunities, and collaboration paths.
• Develop recommendations regarding collaboration, shared learning, capability adoption, or independent execution.
• Help reduce unnecessary duplication while respecting the unique needs of each business and market.

Lead Strategic Programs

• Own a portfolio of high-impact cross-market initiatives requiring coordination between Walmart Enterprise and Subsidiary organization.
• Drive program execution from discovery through recommendation, alignment, and handoff.
• Establish program governance, success measures, stakeholder alignment, and executive communication plans.
• Coordinate follow-through on strategic initiatives sponsored by Walmart International leadership.

Drive Executive Visibility and Reporting

• Facilitate product and technology reporting for Subsidiary organization within Walmart International leadership forums.
• Develop executive-ready narratives that communicate Subsidiary organization’s product and technology progress, strategic initiatives, risks, and opportunities.
• Produce recurring updates that are incorporated into monthly International CEO reporting.
• Communicate complex product and technology developments through concise, data-driven recommendations and insights.

Manage Two-Way Product and Technology Requests

• Serve as the central intake and coordination point for product and technology requests between Subsidiary organization and Walmart Enterprise.
• Help Subsidiary organization teams access Walmart Enterprise expertise, lessons learned, operating practices, and technology capabilities.
• Help Walmart Product teams access Subsidiary organization product knowledge, market insights, and technology innovations.
• Track requests through discovery, stakeholder engagement, response, and closure.

What You'll Bring...

• Deep experience in product strategy, product management, portfolio management, strategic programs, or enterprise transformation within large technology or retail organizations.
• Strong understanding of product and technology organizations and how they operate at scale.
• Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders without formal authority.
• Experience translating complex business priorities into actionable product and technology recommendations.
• Strong executive presence with exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Demonstrated success operating across highly matrixed organizations.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving product, technology, business, and executive teams.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with operational execution.
