One thing that would be interesting from a renewable energy perspective is low grade heat harvesting. In many processes, low grade heat is produced and wasted. Question is: what is the technology landscape for low grade heat harvesting. What are typical efficiencies of these systems, what applications are envisioned etc. Practically we are looking at a piece of work that does a literature survey/technology scouting to map out all of the options that have been suggested in literature. Subsequently down selection of the most promising ones (criteria to be determined) and after htat a thermodynamic analysis as well as evaluation of practical aspects of low temperature energy harvesting.
