Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Embedded Application Development Lead to join our engineering team and lead the development of mission-critical software applications for advanced transportation systems.
This position combines hands-on technical development with team leadership responsibilities. The successful candidate will lead and mentor junior engineers while contributing to software design, development, integration, and technical decision-making.
Candidates from Embedded Systems, Automotive, Telecom, SCADA, Industrial Automation, Aerospace, or related industries are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software applications using C/C++.
- Participate in software architecture, design reviews, integration, and testing activities.
- Review technical requirements and contribute to engineering solutions.
- Support software troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.(empty)
Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a team of junior and mid-level software engineers.
- Assign and monitor engineering tasks and deliverables.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
- Support onboarding and technical training activities.
- Drive continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Act as the technical focal point for stakeholders and off-shore team.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 years of software development experience.
- Strong C/C++ programming skills.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems.
- Experience across the software development lifecycle.
- Proven experience leading teams or mentoring engineers.
- Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
Desirable Requirements
- Experience in safety-critical industries.
- Experience with RTOS environments.
- Knowledge of Railway, Aerospace, Automotive, or Industrial Control systems.
- Familiarity with configuration and requirements management tools.
- Knowledge of ETCS/ERTMS railway signalling systems.
- Knowledge of Ada programming.
- Knowledge of DOORS, RTC, or similar tools.
Training: Selected candidates will undergo structured training covering ETCS concepts, railway signalling principles, safety standards, engineering processes, and project-specific technologies.
