Job Description
As a Security Officer Dispatch Communications in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Dispatch Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will coordinate security-related communications, monitor alarms and access activity, and dispatch personnel as needed. You will maintain clear, professional communication with team members and visitors while helping to deter incidents through timely response and accurate reporting. - Provide customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor dispatch communications, receive and prioritize service requests, and coordinate the deployment of security-related personnel to support site operations.
- Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident records, shift activity reports, and communications with site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter when assigned, reporting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
