What we do at Weir
We are a global leader in mining technology for a sustainable future. We help our customers extract the resources the world needs more efficiently and more sustainably. Our planet’s future depends on the transition to renewable energy, and that transition can only happen with the metals and minerals our customers deliver. So, we work side by side with mines across the globe to move less rock, use less energy, use water wisely, and create less waste. Together, we drive the shift to smart, efficient, and more sustainable mining.
Make your impact
You’ll play a key role in solving real-world challenges. You’ll apply your skills to deliver results that matter whether that’s through engineering, planning or customer support. You’ll work with purpose, learn every day and help shape a more sustainable future.
What you’ll do
Training Coordination: Coordinate all site training activities including scheduling, communications, attendance tracking, and record retention to ensure smooth and efficient training operations. You will manage daily training logistics and maintain accurate training matrices and employee records. Success means timely, accurate training compliance and well-organized training programs.
Onboarding & Orientation: Lead new hire orientation and onboarding activities on a biweekly cadence, ensuring new employees are effectively integrated and compliant with site requirements. Daily, you will prepare and deliver orientation materials and track completion. Success is measured by seamless onboarding experiences and up-to-date onboarding records.
Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to site leadership including data entry, report preparation, maintaining employee directories, organizational charts, and meeting documentation. You will handle these tasks daily to support operational excellence. Success looks like timely, accurate administrative outputs that enable leadership decision-making.
Training Program Development: Assist in modernizing and improving the site’s training infrastructure, contributing to the development of a more robust digital training system ("Version 2.0"). This includes supporting audit readiness and continuous improvement initiatives. Success is demonstrated by enhanced training program effectiveness and system improvements.
Travel Requirements: Minimal to no travel expected; role is primarily onsite at the Newton facility.
Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.
