HubSpot’s Sales Demand, Strategy, & Operations team is on a mission to help our sales teams close more impactful, complex deals as we continue to grow upmarket. As part of that mission, we’re building out our Proposal & RFP support capabilities within Deal Desk..
We’re looking for a Proposal Specialist to support our AMER Upmarket sales organization by managing and delivering high-quality proposals and RFX responses at scale. This role will partner closely with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Marketing, Legal, and our Services Partners to help articulate HubSpot’s value to prospective customers — particularly in complex, enterprise-level opportunities.
This is a net-new role created to support increasing proposal volume as HubSpot continues to grow in the upmarket and enterprise space globally..
In this role, you’ll get to:
- Own and manage end-to-end proposal and RFP responses for AMER, supporting a high volume of complex, non-standard sales opportunities
- Partner closely with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Deal Desk, Marketing, Legal, and Partners to gather inputs and produce clear, compelling, and accurate proposal content
- Translate technical, commercial, and legal inputs into customer-ready narratives tailored to each buyer’s needs
- Edit, refine, and quality-check proposal responses to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with HubSpot’s brand and value proposition
- Leverage AI tools thoughtfully to accelerate proposal creation while ensuring accuracy, fact-checking, and high-quality outputs
- Navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-moving, upmarket sales environment
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of proposal processes, templates, and content libraries to support scale
- Support sellers across AMER handling hundreds of proposals annually
We are looking for someone who:
- Has 1-3 years experience in a proposal, bid, RFP, pre-sales, sales support, or similar role
- Comes from a tech, SaaS, or professional services background (e.g., software, consulting, legal, accounting)
- Thrives in highly cross-functional environments and enjoys collaborating with multiple stakeholders
- Understands the dynamics of sales teams and how to support sellers effectively during high-pressure deal cycles
- Is comfortable using AI tools for drafting, research, and validation — and understands both their strengths and limitations
- Has strong judgment and knows how to assess risk, accuracy, and relevance in proposal content
- Is extremely strong in written communication, copy editing, and content structuring
- Is comfortable working in ambiguity and can adapt quickly as deal needs evolve
- Is detail-oriented and able to manage multiple proposals simultaneously without sacrificing quality
- Is flexible, resourceful, and proactive in solving problems
- Is passionate about helping HubSpot’s customers succeed as we move further upmarket
Even better if you have:
- Experience supporting enterprise-level or upmarket sales motions
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales tooling (e.g., HubSpot)
- Experience working with RFPs across AMER markets (private sector & public)
- A background or interest in marketing, design, or content strategy
- Experience improving proposal processes, templates, or knowledge bases
- Spanish language proficiency
