Are you an experienced Senior Data Analyst with a passion for transforming complex data into meaningful business insights?

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join a strategic, data-driven programme focused on delivering actionable insights, supporting business decision-making, and driving value through advanced analytics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling large, complex datasets, interpreting business requirements, and providing meaningful insights that influence business outcomes.

This role requires strong experience working on data-focused projects, with hands-on expertise in collecting, analysing, transforming, and visualising data. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is essential, while exposure to AWS environments will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and interpret large and complex datasets from multiple sources.
• Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and meaningful insights.
• Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, reports, and visualisations.
• Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance activities.
• Identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities through data analysis.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, project teams, data engineers, and technical teams.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support strategic initiatives through data-driven decision-making.
• Work within cloud-based environments to manage, process, and analyse data efficiently.
• Ensure data governance, compliance, and best practices are maintained throughout project delivery.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 5–8+ years' experience as a Data Analyst in enterprise-scale environments.
• Proven experience handling, analysing, and interpreting data within data-centric projects.
• Strong SQL skills and experience querying large datasets.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including data and analytics services.
• Experience with data modelling, data quality management, and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience working with business stakeholders to define and deliver reporting and analytical requirements.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights and recommendations.

Technical Skills

• Advanced SQL.
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – essential.
• Data warehousing concepts.
• ETL/ELT processes.
• Data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar.
• Advanced Excel.
• Data analysis and statistical techniques.
• Python and/or R (advantageous).

Highly Advantageous

• Exposure to AWS cloud services.
• Telecommunications industry experience.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Knowledge of Big Data technologies and cloud-based analytics platforms.
