Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Engagement in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a school district environment, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with exceptional customer service. You will conduct routine rounds, communicate clearly, document observations using computer or tablet tools, and respond professionally to evolving site needs. - Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, parking areas, outdoor spaces, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entry points, checking credentials as directed, and documenting visitor or contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance-related concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
