Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help deter security-related incidents, manage access control, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to evolving situations with integrity. - Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions or policy violations, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate hospital areas.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- Must be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
- Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
