Bid / Proposal Manager (German & English)

Who You Are
This is an opportunity for an experienced Bid manager. You will be working in an international environment in the context of a highly motivated Bid Management team. You will be an integral part of the Company’s success by managing various bids of different levels of complexity, values and for different customers. This position is a hybrid position based at our Headquarters, in Darmstadt, Germany. It is full-time and permanent and expected starting date will be as soon as possible.

What You Will Focus on
The role is to manage the writing and production of high-quality winning bids / proposal on behalf of Business Development & Sales Managers by:
•    Leading temporary teams to produce bids / proposals.
•    Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
•    Taking responsibility of bids according to associated bid management process. 
•    Analysing customer documentation, identifying client requirements and planning bids accordingly to ensure that proposals are compliant with Client and Telespazio Germany requirements.
•    Coordinate internal, partner companies, and subcontractor contributions.
•    Assignment and coordination of tasks during the production of bids, and pre-qualifications.
•    Preparing, reviewing, and formatting proposal documents including review of text, grammar, graphics, flow-charts, and diagrams.
•    Liaising with internal stakeholders (e.g. Risk Manager, Legal & Compliance, QA, etc) on bid related requirements and subsequent reviews, clarifications, and actions.
•    Participation in the analyses and review of lessons learned from bids produced.
•    Ensure milestones of the Bid Plan and deadlines for bid submissions are met.
•    Support the maintenance, optimisation, and improvement of Bid Management Templates & Processes. 

This role requires extensive interaction with sales and technical staff, as well as other support functions both, within Telespazio Germany and partner companies and subcontractors.

What You Bring
Requirements
•    >2 years' Experience in Bid Management, Project Management or similar commercial role.  
•    Proven experience leading complex, technical proposals, and managing cross-functional teams. 
•    University degree or equivalent experience.
•    Relevant experience in reviewing, writing, editing, producing or interpreting large commercial documents.

Essential
•    Fluency in German Language (1st Language) and English Language (C1/C2).
•    Advanced MS Word skills.
•    Meticulous attention to detail and an appreciation of process and quality.
•    Ability to plan, prioritise and manage own workload with strict deadlines.
•    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
•    Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
•    Able to work as part of a team, collaborate and build strong working relationships.
•    For security reasons only EU citizenships shall apply.

Hold security clearance according to the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie requirement. (Required to hold security clearance as German Bid Manager to access specific RFP/ITTs and manage associated correspondence)
