JOB TITLE: Digital Innovation & Learning Technology Intern
PAY RATE: $20.00/hour
REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer
Shifts: Flexible; 10-15 hours per week hours a week during hours of operation M-Fr 8am-5pm

About the Opportunity
The YWCA St. Paul is seeking a creative, technology-minded student to serve as our Digital Innovation & Learning Technology Fellow. This is a unique opportunity to help design and launch innovative digital tools that expand access to education, workforce development, and health resources for women and families throughout our community.Unlike a traditional IT position, this role blends technology, innovation, product development, artificial intelligence, and social impact. The fellow will work directly with the CEO and collaborate with organizational leaders, community partners, and technology vendors to bring new ideas from concept to implementation.
Position Overview
The Digital Innovation & Learning Technology Fellow will support the development and launch of several strategic technology initiatives, including:• A participant-facing mobile application• An online strengths and needs assessment• A digital learning platform offering self-paced and instructor-led courses• AI-powered tools that improve participant experiences and organizational effectivenessThe fellow will help coordinate projects, conduct research, test new technologies, organize content, gather user feedback, and support continuous improvement across YWCA's growing digital ecosystem.
Primary Responsibilities
Product & Technology Development
- Assist with planning, testing, and launching new digital products.
- Maintain project documentation and feature roadmaps.
- Coordinate user testing and document improvements.
- Identify bugs, usability issues, and opportunities for enhancement.
- Help evaluate emerging technology solutions.
Online Learning Platform
- Support the development of online courses and learning experiences.
- Organize educational content and digital resources.
- Assist with course setup, testing, and participant experience.
- Help create user guides and instructional materials.
Digital Assessment Development
- Assist in building and testing an online participant assessment.
- Help organize assessment content and workflows.
- Document participant feedback and recommend improvements.
- Support data collection and reporting.
Artificial Intelligence & Innovation
- Research practical AI applications for nonprofit organizations.
- Help develop AI tools and prompt libraries for staff.
- Explore responsible and ethical uses of AI.
- Test new technology platforms and provide recommendations.
Research & Special Projects
- Research best practices from nonprofits, educational institutions, and technology organizations.
- Prepare briefing materials and summaries for leadership.
- Support strategic technology initiatives and pilot projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Students from Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Entrepreneurship, UX Design, Digital Media, Education/Instructional Design, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
