Technician (Inventory & Equipment)

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the Territory Area Manager and will work closely with the Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Lexington, MA

Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM- Monday - Friday

Hourly Pay Range: $22.00 - $24.03

What we’re looking for 

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required

Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience

• 1+ years' experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service

• Inventory Management experience a plus

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

• Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and facility compliance standards preferred

Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:

• Facilitates orders for consumable lab inventory replenishment

• Receives inbound shipments from UPS, FedEx, and other common carriers

• Responsible for handling hazardous material

• Manages customer’s warehouse inventory

• Handles and manages chemicals

• Maintains and checks safety stations

• Basic shipping duties

• May require traveling between customer sites

• Updating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures

• Perform other duties as assigned

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$39,000.00 - $62,675.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
