Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Access Control Driver in Delray Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Access Control Officer supporting a government location. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps deter incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining access logs, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor entry points, alarms, cameras, and/or access-control systems; report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, and equipment concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
