As an Enterprise Data Architect based in Barcelona, Spain, you will help shape Arxada's digital future by transforming data into a strategic business asset. Working across IT and business teams, you will define scalable data architectures, enable AI and analytics capabilities, and ensure data is trusted, secure, and accessible across the enterprise.

Essential Job Functions
Define and deliver the enterprise data strategy and architecture roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives across the organization.
Design, govern, and continuously improve enterprise data models, standards, and architecture principles to enable trusted and scalable data solutions.
Architect modern data platforms and solutions for data collection, integration, storage, processing, and analytics using cloud technologies and enterprise systems.
Lead the design of robust data integration frameworks, including APIs, ETL/ELT pipelines, and streaming solutions that connect complex business and operational environments.
Partner with business stakeholders, data engineers, analysts, security teams, and application owners to ensure seamless end-to-end data usability and governance.
Embed security, privacy, and compliance requirements into all data architecture designs and ensure data is managed as a critical business asset.
Evaluate emerging technologies, architecture patterns, and industry trends to support innovation and continuous improvement.
Champion data architecture best practices and foster a culture where data-driven decision making enables operational excellence and business growth.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Mathematics/Statistics, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Management, or related enterprise data leadership roles.
Experience in manufacturing/industrial environments and knowledge of OSIsoft PI System are required.
Strong expertise in data modelling, database design, data governance, metadata management, and modern data architecture principles.
Experience designing cloud-based data solutions and working with technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Power BI, SAP, and enterprise data platforms.
Deep understanding of data integration patterns, APIs, ETL/ELT processes, and scalable data platforms.
Proven ability to collaborate across diverse teams, influence stakeholders, and translate complex business requirements into practical technical solutions.
Business fluent English; relevant certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert are advantageous.
