About the Job
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Allocator to join our Allocation and Merchandising Systems team. This position will report to a Senior Planner and is focused on achieving one or more product categories and support the Planner in achieving company goals through inventory management for their assigned product categories. Candidate should be excited about learning the allocation tools and building new skills. Some retail experience and a strong math acumen preferred.
What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities
- Execute accurate and timely allocations to support inventory plans and store service levels
- Work with Planners and Buyers to develop allocation strategies
- Work with stores and DC to ensure product availability
- Monitor purchase orders
- Monitor allocation effectiveness
- Manage DC inventory to determine business needs
- Make recommendations to plan continuous improvement
- Support cross functional teams by providing reports and ad hoc analysis
What You’ll Bring | Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- 2 years’ retail experience preferred
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong ability in Microsoft Excel and database applications; including building spreadsheets ad hoc and creating macros
- MicroStrategy reporting ability a plus
- Extremely detail oriented and willing to analyze down to the lowest level
- Ability to work closely with a diverse group of people

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands
- Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily
- Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
- Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from Atlanta Georgia office.
