What You Will Do

Pratt & Whitney's Mechanical System, Externals & Nacelles Module Center Engineering (MSEN) organization has openings for Internships as a Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Engineer. The primary function of this position is to perform as an onsite engineering liaison representing Pratt & Whitney in front of our military customers. The MRO Engineering Intern will support the overhaul and repair process for MSEN hardware across the Pratt & Whitney’s family of Military Engines at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma City. This position is a key role in the global sustainment effort as it provides a direct engineering link with our domestic and foreign military customers 

As a Maintenance Repair & Overhaul Intern at Pratt & Whitney you will......

• Work as the onsite Engineering representative of P&W supporting engine/hardware investigations and dispositions.
• Create Technical Substantiation Packages (TSP) for non-conforming hardware analysis.
• Assist in part inspections to recover hardware in inventory.
• Monitor and trend hardware health for limit updates, Component Improvement Program (CIP) and repair tasks activities.
• Provide assistance to Customer Support Engineering (CSE) and base personnel with field support, quality issues and logistics planning.
• Work in a customer-facing role.

• Procedural knowledge associated with the aftermarket sustainment and overhaul of military engines.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical​ Engineering or an Engineering field and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship session.

• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship session.
• Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects

Qualifications We Prefer

• Pursuing a degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience demonstrating communication, presentation, leadership, and organizational skills in professional and team‑based environments.
• Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
