R&D Engineer

Your role and responsibilities :

This role is contributing to the Motion High Power (MOHP) Division in Bengaluru, India.

 

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Working as an independent and reliable contributor in R&D projects with limited supervision.

• Understanding and applying applicable processes, standards, guidelines, and requirements, including architectural and design constraints.

• Developing Firmware of VFD, AC-AC/ AC- DC/ DC-DC Converters at various layers of architecture.

• Deliver end-to-end product development including design, reviews, and hands-on development, across local and remote teams. Collaborate with Product Owner to identify new opportunities and manage configurations, troubleshooting, upgrades, technical training, and documentation.

• Demonstrating Solid Competency in embedded C++ or C programming and Designing concepts.

• Provide support to customers requirement or issues within area of expertise, and represent the team in internal and external engineering forums to ensure effective collaboration and visibility.

• Drive innovation while maintaining oversight of intellectual property within the domain, proactively identify, assess, and manage risks across R&D projects and organizational processes.

• Apply strong competencies in safety, quality, innovation, ownership, and collaboration in technical domains, tools, processes, communication, and risk and IP management to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical Engineering/Power Electronics with 2-4 years of experience in embedded software programming in C++ or C

• Must have strong experience in Drives/VFD or inverter embedded system design and development..

• Know-how of Hardware in loop simulations.

• Knowledge of Drive functionality testing, CI/CD, DevOps, worked with some kind of automation would be an added advantage

• Knowledge of Agile/ SCRUM way of working and any certifications with basic Testing would be advantageous

• Good Collaboration skills with an open mindset to learn quickly and adapt
