Job Description:

You will be part of the Software development team in Chennai, India, working on software tools for our USB Hubs, PCIe/USB Ethernet controllers.  The job responsibilities include,
•    Design and develop backend services and APIs with a focus on performance and reliability
•    Build and maintain service components in Rust or C++
•    Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews
•    Integrate services with databases, message queues, and external systems as needed
•    Improve observability (logging, metrics, tracing) and troubleshooting production issues
•    Work with CI/CD pipelines and modern build tooling to streamline delivery
•    Collaborate with product and other engineering teams to deliver features end-to-end

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer/Electronics/Electrical Engineering with minimum of 7 - 10 years of software tools development experience
• Strong experience in Rust and modern C++
• Solid understanding of backend fundamentals (concurrency, networking, performance, security basics)
• Experience with modern build systems and tooling (e.g., Cargo, CMake, Bazel, Meson)
• Familiarity with Linux development environments and automated testing
• Knowledge of version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to work in a dynamic environment with multiple projects and deadlines
• Team player but able to work independently - a self-starter, adaptable to rapidly changing market requirements
• Nice to Have gRPC and Protocol Buffers experience
• Familiarity with Docker/containers and deployment workflows and software upgrade process are preferred
