Global IBP Director

Reporting into the Senior Director Global Supply Chain, the Global IBP Director will manage and systematically improve the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process, aiming at striking the right balance between customer satisfaction and our company's financial performance. As part of this, it is essential to collaborate well with stakeholders in the company and in cross-functional teams to ensure effective demand and supply planning, inventory management, and overall operational efficiency for the network.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

IBP Process Management:

• Develop, execute and lead a comprehensive global IBP strategy to align demand forecasts, inventory levels, and production plans with the company's financial goals and customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain IBP calendars, meeting schedules, and process documentation.
• Facilitate monthly IBP meetings (both locally and globally) with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, IT and Supply Chain) to review and analyze demand and supply data, identify gaps, and develop action plans to address them.

Demand Planning and Forecasting:

• Support the Sales and Marketing team to gather, make accessible and analyze demand forecast
• Use the Demand Forecast, including scenarios based on risks and opportunities, as input for the SIOP cycle

Inventory Management:

• Drive the efficiency of making inventory data available to all users.
• Drive the implementation of effective inventory management practices, including demand forecasting accuracy, safety stock optimization, and order fulfillment strategies. Goal is to optimize the balance between working capital and customer satisfaction
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
• Develop strategies to improve inventory turnover and reduce holding costs.

Production Planning and Scheduling:

• Coordinate with Operations and Manufacturing to develop production plans that meet customer demand, customer service levels and optimize resource utilization.
• Ensure production schedules are aligned with forecasted demand and inventory targets.
• Address production constraints and capacity issues to maintain delivery performance.

Performance Metrics and Reporting:

• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to IBP, such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, stockouts, Total Production Cost, service levels, and lead times.
• Prepare and present IBP reports and dashboards to senior management in an effective and action-oriented way
• Prepare and lead the monthly Executive SIOP meeting
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives based on performance data.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Serve as the main point of contact for IBP-related activities, communication, training and guidance on IBP principles, tools, and methodologies, and facilitate knowledge sharing sessions.
• Foster collaboration between Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure consistency and standardization of IBP processes, tools, and best practices.
• Facilitate conflict resolution and ensure alignment on IBP objectives.

Continuous Improvement:

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve IBP processes, the outcomes of these processes (KPI's) and tools to enhance data visibility and accuracy.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in IBP and supply chain management.
• Implement new technologies and systems to support IBP effectiveness and efficiency.

JOB SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND BEHAVIORAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of leadership experience and well-seasoned IBP leader with 15-20 years of total experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, inventory management, or related roles.
• Proven experience leading IBP processes in a complex, multi-site global environment with advanced knowledge of IBP processes, principles, and best practices.
• Strong proficiency in relevant data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, IBP software).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to generate insights from data and propose effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• APICS certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
