As a member of the Commercial Team, the Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales activities, developing key accounts, and securing group and individual business opportunities to maximize revenue, profitability, and guest satisfaction. The role focuses on building strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting the hotel's overall sales and marketing objectives.
What You Will Do
- Follow up on all leads and maintain strong relationships with Worldwide Sales Offices (WSOs) and other Four Seasons Hotels.
- Create and maintain permanent files for all groups with strong room-night potential.
- Conduct property tours for meeting planners and potential clients.
- Negotiate with clients to achieve maximum revenue and profitability while meeting client needs.
- Evaluate, solicit, sell, and confirm business in line with individual goals and the hotel's overall sales and profitability targets.
- Qualify prospective leads based on their profitability and business potential.
- Develop proposals and recommend programs that meet client needs, including alternative options where appropriate.
- Promote and sell all hotel services.
- Maintain an effective correspondence and follow-up plan.
- Report monthly performance against established plans and goals.
- Keep supervisors promptly and fully informed of significant problems or unusual matters to ensure timely corrective action.
- Coordinate with other Department Heads to ensure a high level of guest and group satisfaction.
- Follow up on the progress of confirmed business and ensure appropriate coordination.
- Assist in developing and executing projects for assigned market areas to increase sales activity, volume, and profitability.
- Maintain assigned files in accordance with the guidelines outlined in account coverage programs.
- Participate in sales meetings and relevant industry organizations to represent the hotel and the company.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of local competition, including their services, facilities, and market positioning.
- Provide input on the local segment of the Marketing Plan and budget.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times and demonstrate mature, professional business conduct when representing the hotel or company.
- Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by hotel management.
What You Bring
- A high school diploma or equivalent qualification, with relevant experience considered.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a similar sales role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Excellent verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive approach to identifying sales opportunities and achieving business objectives.
