Description
We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Floor Manager to join our team and lead day-to-day restaurant floor operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Restaurant Operations:
- Oversee daily floor operations and ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Ensure the restaurant is properly prepared before each service period.
- Monitor guest flow, table allocation, reservations, and service efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to company operating procedures and service standards.
- Coordinate closely with the kitchen and support teams to ensure seamless service.
- Monitor restaurant cleanliness, ambiance, presentation, and overall guest experience.
Team Leadership & People Management:
- Lead, motivate, and supervise the front-of-house team.
- Conduct daily pre-shift briefings and communicate operational priorities.
- Monitor staff attendance, grooming, punctuality, and performance.
- Coach team members and provide regular feedback to improve performance.
- Support onboarding, training, and development of new and existing employees.
- Allocate staff responsibilities and manage floor coverage according to business needs.
Guest Experience:
- Ensure a high level of customer service throughout the guest journey.
- Interact with guests and proactively identify opportunities to enhance their experience.
- Handle customer complaints and service issues professionally and effectively.
- Follow up on guest feedback and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken.
- Build strong relationships with regular guests and maintain a welcoming environment.
Financial & Operational Controls:
- Support the Restaurant Manager in achieving sales and operational targets.
- Monitor wastage, portion control, and other operational costs.
- Ensure proper handling of cash and payment procedures where applicable.
- Support stock monitoring and inventory control.
- Review daily operational reports and highlight issues requiring management attention.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, health, and safety standards.
- Ensure all team members follow company policies and operational procedures.
- Conduct regular checks of the restaurant floor and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Take immediate action on any operational or safety risks.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in restaurant or hospitality operations.
- Previous experience as a Floor Manager, Restaurant Supervisor, Assistant Restaurant Manager, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of front-of-house restaurant operations.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer-service and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- UAE hospitality experience is preferred.
