How You'll Support the Mission
Develop and continuously evolve an enterprise partnership performance framework that measures commercial, contractual, audience, and strategic outcomes, enabling leadership to make informed investment and growth decisions.
Evaluate partnership performance across platform relationships and business development initiatives to identify opportunities that improve revenue generation, audience growth, and long-term partner value.
Transform quantitative analysis, market intelligence, and partner insights into strategic recommendations that influence partnership strategy, commercial priorities, and executive decision-making.
Partner with leaders across Platform Partnerships, Business Development, Product, Audience, Finance, Legal, Data & Analytics, and Technology to align cross-functional initiatives that accelerate partnership growth and execution.
Assess emerging market trends, competitive dynamics, platform evolution, creator ecosystems, subscription models, and AI-driven opportunities to identify new partnership strategies that strengthen The Washington Post's competitive position.
Lead strategic business reviews for priority partners by synthesizing performance metrics, identifying growth opportunities, and aligning internal and external stakeholders on actionable next steps that expand commercial value.
Evaluate new partnership opportunities by assessing strategic alignment, financial impact, operational feasibility, audience potential, and business risk, enabling disciplined investment decisions.
Develop executive dashboards, business reviews, performance scorecards, and strategic recommendation materials that improve transparency, accountability, and leadership decision-making.
Integrate insights across Platform Partnerships and Business Development to establish a unified view of partnership performance, identify scalable best practices, and strengthen enterprise commercial strategy.
Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance partnership analytics, reporting capabilities, and strategic planning processes that improve organizational effectiveness.
The Skills and Experience You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Data Analytics, Communications, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
4+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, business development, partnerships, account management, corporate strategy, digital media, or a related commercial function.
Demonstrated ability to translate quantitative and qualitative data into strategic recommendations that influence business decisions and improve commercial performance.
Experience developing KPI frameworks, executive dashboards, business reviews, or performance management systems.
Strong analytical and financial acumen with experience evaluating business performance, commercial opportunities, and strategic trade-offs.
Understanding of the digital media, technology, platform, creator, subscription, advertising, and AI ecosystems and the commercial forces shaping the publishing industry.
Experience evaluating partnership opportunities using financial, operational, strategic, and audience considerations.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams, build alignment, and drive execution without direct authority.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex analyses and recommendations to executive audiences and external partners.
High degree of ownership, adaptability, sound judgment, and strategic thinking in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
Experience using business intelligence and visualization tools (such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar) is preferred.
Experience with financial modeling, SQL, or analytical tools is preferred.
Experience working with platform partnerships, licensing, subscriptions, AI partnerships, social distribution, or emerging media business models is preferred.

The salary range for this position is:
$130,300 - $242,100 AnnualThe actual salary within this range will depend on individual skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements. This position may be eligible for a bonus or incentive program, and a member of the Talent Acquisition team will discuss bonus payment terms and conditions during the interview process.
