Salary Range: The full pay range for this role is $75,300.00 - $125,500.00 annually, and the good faith estimated starting pay for this position upon hire is $90,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually. We generally base our salary decisions on factors including but not limited to, relevant work and leadership experience, education, demonstrated performance, internal equity, and in some cases, geographic location.

 

Scope of Job: As an Associate Asset Manager, you will be responsible for report compilation and monitoring of operational and financial performance of the renewable assets in the region.  In this role you will practice the processes for managing, maintaining, and optimizing various types of power plants as well as various risks associated with different PPA offtake and Tax Equity structures.  You will also be expected to comply with EDFR culture of safety wile exhibiting safety behaviors in line with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Sustainability (HSES) standards and EDFR safety policies. You will become familiar and comply with internal compliance protocols, policies, Code of Ethics, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Financial Analysis & Support: Understand basic principles of GAAP and IFRS accounting practices. Able to gather the necessary resources to support Asset Managers in development of annual budgets. Monitors cash flow activity and raises red flags to Asset Managers to assure negative financial trends are addressed quickly and compliance with contracts. Interface with Generation Accounting Group and Valuations and Analytics team to address cash flow needs including projects’ distributions, checking RSCR and DSCR calculations and project’s ability to pay all invoices.   
• Performance Monitoring Support:  Monitor projects performance and research opportunities for improvements.  Assist in the preparation of business cases in support of operational and financial performance improvements.  Work closely with Valuations and Analytics team to deliver on the on-going wholesale electricity market participation risk tracking and analysis for assigned projects. 
• Contract & Regulatory Support: Know the list of applicable contracts and permits associated with renewable energy asset, not only what they are, but how they impact the projects lifetime operations and how to find the necessary contractual information in support of compliance. Assist Asset Managers in performing compliance activities to ensure all required tasks are completed in a timely manner.    
• Operational Awareness: Understand what affects project’s availability and the differences in various availability calculations based on the type of renewable energy resource measured, as well as the basic maintenance activities required to keep site running. Interface with Performance and Reliability Engineering Group and Operational teams to find operational performance solutions. Is familiar with safety principles and SafeStart trained and adheres to Safety policy. Understands the role of the Operations Control Center including the practice of outage management, callouts and TOs notification requirements.
• Stakeholder Management Support: Work collaboratively with diverse group of internal stakeholders to optimize project performance and deliver on project compliance.
• Other duties as assigned: Support the organization with Ad hoc analysis, performing research, participating in initiatives, and creating presentations to deliver on the success of the region, the business unit and EDFR.

Supervision of Others: None

Working Conditions: 80% of the time is spent in the office environment utilizing computers (frequent use of MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Teams), phones and general office equipment. 20% of the time is spent in the field traveling to project sites, conferences, personal / team training, and vendor facilities within the United States.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree and a minimum of 1 -3 years of applicable working experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Understands the principles of sustainability and available renewable energy resources.
• Able to identify renewable energy technologies and explain how an asset coverts resource into MWhs.
• Exceptional analytical skills (data crunching, deciphering the data and connecting the dots with financial modeling experience being a bonus)
• Previous accounting or finance training preferred.
• Ability to read and understand contracts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Familiarity with enterprise data management tools (SAP) is a plus.
• Above average skills with excel, Tableau, Python, or similar.

Physical Requirements: The majority of the work will be performed on the office environment, so employee will need to be able to perform normal standing, bending, etc. with the need to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.  Outside of the office, employee will be required to climb, lift, bend, etc.
