Leitner-Poma of America, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to join our dynamic team where you'll design complex electrical systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration. You'll play a key role in developing engineering documentation, commissioning machine applications, and providing technical expertise to enhance automation systems. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The Electrical Engineer I will provide technical support to senior engineers, research and develop new electrical systems and components, and troubleshoot/ repair electrical equipment according to Leitner-Poma’s requirements. This includes PLCs, HMIs, and AC drives and motors. The Electrical Engineer I may also assist in project management, documentation, and testing procedures. 

This is a full-time, hourly position hiring at $29.00 - $32.37 per hour based on relevant experience & certifications.

Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or computer science engineering from an ABET accredited engineering school.
• Member of professional practice organization, member of local program or committee.
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel domestically & internationally at least 25%-30%.
• Ability to work in inclement weather in a mountainous environment at high altitudes.
• Authorized to work in the United States of America.
• Proficient in the English language.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 years’ experience with Microsoft Office.
• 3 years’ design background, including Electrical CAD systems and database management.
• 2 years’ experience in integrated automation/information systems in a manufacturing environment.
• 2 years’ experience with Rockwell Software.
• 2 years’ experience with DC and/or AC drives and motors.
• Exposure to National Electrical Code (NEC) and Arc-Flash (NFPA-70).
