Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Computer Operations Patrol in Jonestown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic logistics and distribution location. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This role offers the opportunity to use your computer or tablet skills while working with a reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets. This includes the ability to navigate software applications, manage emails, and utilize digital tools effectively.

• Customer Service Experience (B219)Candidates should possess a background in customer service. This includes experience in handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing a positive customer experience.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of loading docks, trailer areas, parking areas, warehouse entrances, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, irregularities, and observations in clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
