Medical Records Administrator
Glasgow Hospital | Administration | Permanent | Full Time|
Shifts: Monday - Friday between 8am -7pm
£25,545 per annum depending on experience
37.5 hours per week

As a Medical Records Administrator at our hospital, you’ll bring a keen eye for detail, strong secretarial skills and great communication abilities. You’re proficient with Microsoft Office, comfortable working with numbers and you’re committed to providing our teams with the best level of support. That’s why we’re looking for someone who brings a blend of strong administration skills and a passion for exceptional customer care to join us.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing and processing Subject Access Requests (SARs) from start to finish, ensuring all requests are logged, quality checked, and completed accurately within required timescales.
Maintaining accurate medical records, ensuring they are accessible and up to date for patient admissions and ongoing care.
Providing high-quality administrative support using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Supporting the wider Medical Records team with filing, tracking, and locating patient records.
Answering calls from patients, responding professionally to enquiries, and escalating concerns to the relevant clinical teams when required.
Delivering exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and colleagues at all times.
Prioritising a busy workload effectively while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Remaining calm under pressure and demonstrating professionalism in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
