We are supporting a leading international consultancy recognised for delivering award‑winning SAP transformation and digital compliance solutions. Working with major global organisations, this team operates at the forefront of SAP Finance, indirect tax, e‑invoicing and digital reporting.

As an SAP ABAP Developer specialising in SAP Document Reporting Compliance (DRC), you will design, build and optimise technical components that enable digital tax reporting, e‑invoicing and statutory compliance. This role combines modern ABAP development with integration, performance optimisation and close collaboration with functional DRC consultants.

You Will Take Ownership Of

• Developing and enhancing ABAP components for SAP Document Reporting Compliance (DRC).

• Building CDS Views and ABAP Objects for S/4HANA‑based reporting and integration.

• Configuring and supporting AIF frameworks for e‑invoicing and digital reporting scenarios.

• Designing and maintaining interfaces using SOAP, REST, IDocs, BAPIs and RFCs.

• Developing BAdIs, User Exits and custom XML/JSON mappings for statutory reporting.

• Debugging, analysing and optimising performance across integrations and DRC processes.

• Collaborating with functional DRC consultants to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions.

• Supporting testing, documentation, deployment and post‑go‑live activities.

• Ensuring clean‑core development principles and alignment with SAP best practices.

• Working with SAP BTP, CPI or PI/PO where required for integrations and troubleshooting.

• Contributing to the automation and digitalisation of indirect tax processes and reporting.

Your Profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on ABAP development experience.

• Strong experience with S/4HANA, CDS Views and ABAP Objects.

• Practical experience configuring AIF for e‑invoicing or DRC scenarios.

• Solid understanding of SOAP, REST, IDocs, BAPIs and RFCs.

• Experience developing BAdIs, User Exits and custom XML/JSON mappings.

• Strong debugging and performance optimisation skills.

• Experience with SAP DRC, e‑invoicing or statutory reporting is highly advantageous.

• Basic understanding of SAP BTP, CPI or PI/PO.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.

• Comfortable working directly with functional teams and presenting technical recommendations.

• Degree in computer science, business informatics or similar (advantageous).

• Fluent German and English.
