Your Opportunity as the Lead, Enablement
The Lead, Enablement role will work closely with Managers, Directors and above in Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Information Services and others to support strategic communication, business process and capability development across many functions. This role demonstrates in-depth knowledge of key organizational interdependencies, acting as a liaison across teams to enhance business capabilities and strong execution of day-to-day duties. This role effectively identifies actions to address complex projects and challenges through process improvement and change management. This role is influential in creating, adapting and maintaining learning and development content to support all levels.
Location: Orrville, OH (Close proximity to Cleveland/Akron)
Work Arrangements: Hybrid - onsite a minimum of 9 days a month primarily during core weeks as determined by the Company; maybe more as business need requires
In this role you will:
Capability Development:
Influence the prioritization of projects to drive development of identified skillsets that advance capabilities within the supported organization
Create and maintain onboarding plans to support strong entry and transition within supported teams
Connect individuals and teams to development opportunities, identify gaps and promote areas of interest through Quarterly Learning Day or ad hoc training
Develop and deliver proprietary training content (in-person and virtually) through collaboration with subject matter experts, research and historical knowledge utilizing Articulate software and other tools
Assist with third-party vendor relationships
Business Process:
Drive results against complex strategic roadmap projects/activities while maintaining executional excellence of cyclical work
Own annual connected planning to support an efficient process while driving continuous improvement
Create and maintain effective process documentation (DAIOs) resources that are easy to navigate and informative to promote repeatable processes
Assist with enterprise events (NASM, Marketing University, Quarterly Business Reviews) as needed
Lead and develop change management plans and implement through change agents
Strategic Communication:
Collaborate with functional partners to elevate and streamline messaging to drive the business forward and funnel content through the appropriate channels (Smucker HUB, Marketing Central, C2, IS University)
Model best-in-class Ways of Working (Meeting Management, email, prioritization) and promote consistent processes/forums for information sharing
Raise continuous improvement recommendations across teams for senior leadership alignment
Enable collaboration through deep understanding of cross functional expertise and relationships
What we are looking for:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of relevant experience
Experience leading, creating and delivering training independently and/or with teams or external vendors
Experience leading or partnering on change management initiatives
Ability to work cross functionally and understand interdependencies among teams
Strong presence, influence, and facilitation skills
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work with and influence multiple levels and disciplines throughout the company
Excellent in MS Office365 (Outlook, SharePoint, Forms and the Office Suite)
AI productivity tools experience (preferred Copilot proficiency)
Ability to identify and communicate key messages
Detail and results oriented
Strong relationship building skills and support of others
Ability to lead and guide a team independently
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role (not required):
Knowledge of Workday or similar Learning Management Software (LMS)
Experience in Articulate or similar eLearning software
People management, coaching or mentorship experience
Ability to flow to the work and learn new subject areas quickly
