Wanted: Seeking a Senior Air Systems Analyst with recent experience with emerging aircraft and air-launched weapon systems and innovative capabilities. Experience with both DoW and commercial sectors important. Experience in one or more of the following categories desired:  Systems Engineering (SE), Test and Evaluation (T&E), and advanced aircraft or air-launched weapon system development and testing. Expertise with Digital Engineering (DE) tools is critical.  Candidate will provide engagement from DoW-level stakeholder to programs and services building the next generation of aircraft and air-launched weapon systems. 

Responsibilities

• • Work as part of a small team within Office of the Undersecretary of War (Research and Engineering) (OUSW(R&E)) focused on understanding DoW aircraft and air-launched weapon systems architectures, emerging capabilities, and technologies in order to provide effective engagement with aircraft and air-launched weapon acquisition programs, prototyping efforts, and concepts.  
  • Working for the Deputy Director for Air Systems, you will engage with priority aircraft and air-launched weapon systems acquisition programs to provide an independent analysis of program status, technological maturation, and risk areas.  
  • Support small-team efforts to analyze programs and characterize risk tied to program acquisition milestones. Collaborate with aircraft and air-launched weapon programs across the DoW to understand their efforts including program plans, acquisition plans, technical approach and maturity, schedule, risk, and other aspects in order to present status to OUSW(R&E) leadership. 
  • Effectively communicate program status, issues, risks, plans to executive leadership in narrative, briefing, and oral form. 
  • Evaluate and understand the technology and engineering capabilities central to aircraft and air-launched weapon programs; understand how aircraft and air-launched weapon capabilities impact and support the Joint Warfighter.  
  • Work independently to become an expert on programs and technologies within your area; develop and execute a tailored plan to facilitate DTE&A engagement with your programs; apply best practices from across DTE&A. 
  • Work collaboratively with a team of driven, supportive and highly skilled professionals.  Integrate your analysis from your specific programs into the overall team view of DoW aircraft and air-launched weapon systems.

Qualifications

• 11+ Years of experience with a Bachelors degree required (Masters preferred) and Top Secret with SCI clearance
• Engineer familiar with the Government test centers and Service systems development centers 

• Experience in conducting or assessing Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (e.g., Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, etc.) 

• Experience with Critical Technical Parameters (CTP), Technical Performance Measures (TPM), and Measures of Performance (MOP) / Measures of Effectiveness (MOE) 

• Experience in developing and/or reviewing Systems Engineering Plans (SEP) 

• Experience in developing and/or reviewing Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP) 

• Military Acquisition Professional (optional) 

• USAF or USN Test Pilot School Graduate (optional) 

• Digital Engineering (DE) tool(s) experience desired
• Recent work in emerging aircraft and air-launched weapon systems involved in one or more of these areas: Systems Engineering (SE), Test and Evaluation (T&E), and aircraft or air-launched weapon system development and testing.  Looking for technical and T&E experience.

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $165,000.00/Yr. - USD $200,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
