Overview
Reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director of Athletics, Marketing & Fan Engagement, the Marketing Assistant is an integral member of the External Relations Team. Responsibilities will include marketing and run-of-show for home athletics events, graphic design and creation of original content across various platforms, support and staffing of special events, and implementation of marketing and ticketing strategies.
This position is temporary. The starting pay rate for this position is $20/hour.
Responsibilities
- Aid the Assistant Athletic Director of Athletics, Marketing & Fan Engagement with establishing marketing plans and executing fan experience strategies.
- Lead efforts to plan, organize, and implement marketing and run-of-show elements for various sports.
- Brainstorm, research, and implement marketing and engagement best practices across various events and programs.
- Work collaboratively with Ticket Sales & Operations counterparts to execute strategy and meet group sales goals, including assistance with the group experience calendar and in-game details.
- Work closely with campus colleagues to promote attendance, increase fan engagement, assist student body activations, and connect with community groups.
- Aid with Mascot program efforts.
- Aid the Marketing & Fan Experience team with post-season events and additional special events for engagement.
- Assist with small-scale branding upgrades and venue projects.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s Degree
- Strong customer service skills
- Keen attention to detail and ability to follow through on plans and procedures
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced setting

Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Sports industry experience
- Adobe Creative Suite knowledge
