Description
About This Job
This is a pioneering role within the Cloud and AI Security team, created to address the rapidly evolving security challenges at the intersection of cloud computing and artificial intelligence. As a Cloud and AI Security Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the security framework for our AI/ML platforms, LLM-powered applications, and the cloud infrastructure on which they run.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive AI/ML security framework covering the full model lifecycle: data ingestion, training, deployment, inference, and retirement
- Assess and mitigate AI-specific threats: prompt injection, jailbreaking, adversarial attacks, model inversion, data poisoning, and training data exfiltration
- Lead security reviews of LLM integrations (Azure OpenAI, Google Vertex AI, Anthropic Claude) and enforce appropriate guardrails
- Implement and govern Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) security: data access controls, context injection risks, and output monitoring
- Design security controls for AI agent and agentic workflow architectures — managing tool use, autonomy boundaries, and escalation paths
- Develop cloud security baselines across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP to support AI/ML workload protection (compute, storage, model registries, APIs)
- Perform threat modeling using MITRE ATLAS and OWASP Top 10 for LLMs for AI-powered applications across trading, fraud detection, and customer-facing services
- Contribute to AI governance policy: model risk management, bias/fairness security implications, explainability requirements, and regulatory alignment (SR 11-7, EU AI Act)
- Partner with red team and offensive security functions or vendors to conduct AI-specific adversarial testing exercises
- Implement monitoring and anomaly detection for AI system behavior: model drift indicators, unusual inference patterns, and data pipeline anomalies
- Maintain awareness of the rapidly evolving AI security landscape; advise leadership on emerging risks and mitigation strategies
- Contribute to the development of internal AI security standards, playbooks, and training materials
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of information security experience, including hands-on work in cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Demonstrable understanding of AI/ML concepts: model training pipelines, LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, RAG architectures, and AI agents
- Familiarity with AI security threat frameworks: MITRE ATLAS, OWASP LLM Top 10, NIST AI RMF
- Proficiency in Python; experience with ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain) is a strong plus
- Experience securing APIs, containerized workloads, and microservices architectures in cloud environments
- Understanding of data privacy requirements in the context of AI training datasets (GDPR, CCPA)
- Strong written communication skills — ability to translate complex AI security risks for non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant cloud security certifications: AZ-500, AWS Security Specialty, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer
- Experience with MLOps platforms: MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, Azure ML, Vertex AI
- Exposure to AI red-teaming methodologies and adversarial ML research
- Background in financial services, fintech, or another highly regulated industry
- Experience with LLM gateway security products (e.g., Portkey, LiteLLM, or similar)
