## What you’ll do:
This position is responsible developing and maintaining robust manufacturing processes in support of the business goals and enacting continuous improvement / cost out initiatives across the plant.
Develops and maintains robust, cost efficient manufacturing processes and product structures consistent with lean manufacturing practices. Drive improvements in all related manufacturing processes along the value chain, including those related to products, all equipment, workplace design incl. plant layouts, human interfaces and finally product-quality and -cost. Processes must be monitored and documented. Must be mindful of process and test capabilities and recognize organizational core competencies.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing company standards and procedures (ZISC culture); complying with EHS principles (MESH) and legal regulations.
Execute and support the Industry 4.0 strategy within the Plants / Division / Corporation.
Pro-actively drive problem solving through Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) using Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) & Eaton Quality System (EQS) tools.
Promotes culture of continuous improvement and understands lean manufacturing techniques as they apply to eliminate waste and deliver products to customer’s expectations.
Implements methods and practices to reduce process variation. Demonstrates ability to understand source(s) of variation and identify impact of tolerance stacks in assemblies. Understands application of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA).
Working with the operations teams in the composition of Capital Appropriation Requests (including payback and net present value analysis) for acquisition of equipment to support emerging and existing technologies as required.Specifies new equipment regarding capability and potential growth including integration needs.
Participates in concurrent engineering efforts, critical design reviews, Design For Manufacturing and value engineering initiatives as growth opportunities.
Participates in new product development projects following ProLaunch.
Acts as manufacturing liaison for products from inception through shipment to customer.
Determining administrative system improvements (SAP Master Data, BOM, drawings and database changes), providing time studies and implementing change referring to the Change Management procedures.
Working with the leadership team and others in performing work load analysis and resources optimization. Extracts data from ERP systems as needed.
Communicates vision of organization via verbal communication and actions."
## Qualifications:
- BSC, MSC, Industrial Engineer
- Min 1 Year of experience
## Skills:
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques – i.e. value stream mapping, one piece flow, etc.
- Knowledge at digital factory applications (Industry 4.0)
- Understanding of problem solving methodologies used in determining root cause and formulating corrective action(s) - i.e. thought maps, 8D, root cause analysis, Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis, Gage R & R, control charts, Pareto charts, etc.
- Proficiency in Office 365,
- Knowledge in SAP,
- Knowledge of industry and customer specific quality processes (i.e., ISO9001 etc)
- Proficiency in MiniTab; knowledge of Computer Aided Design / Computer Aided Manufacturing.
- Understanding of ProLaunch
- Knowledge of Six Sigma concepts and tools as they relate to minimizing process / product variability – i.e. regression analysis, hypothesis testing, etc.
- Knowledge of ELSS and EQS Tools
- Understanding of product and end user application/specifications, including product testing requirements. (design/process interface).
- Experience in the Assembly and testing of complex electro mechanical products
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings and specifications"
