Brothers Floor Covering
Brothers Floor Covering is seeking a dependable, organized, and hands-on Warehouse Lead to oversee the day-to-day flow of materials through our warehouse and help keep installation jobs running smoothly.
This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys staying active, taking ownership, and making sure things are done right. The Warehouse Lead will serve as the primary point person for warehouse operations while also working alongside the team to receive, organize, stage, load, and deliver flooring materials.
What You'll Do
- Take ownership of the daily organization, cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the warehouse
- Receive incoming flooring materials and verify quantities and condition
- Label, organize, and store materials so they can be easily identified and located by job
- Review upcoming installations and pull, organize, and stage materials in advance
- Verify materials before they leave the warehouse to help ensure jobs have what they need
- Identify and communicate missing, damaged, incorrect, or backordered materials before they impact installation schedules
- Load and unload flooring materials from company vehicles, vendor trucks, and installer vehicles
- Coordinate daily deliveries, pickups, and material priorities with the Operations team
- Deliver flooring materials and supplies to job sites using company vehicles as needed
- Pick up materials, supplies, and returns from vendors
- Help maintain accurate records of materials entering and leaving the warehouse
- Coordinate vendor returns and help monitor commonly used warehouse and installation supplies
- Operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment safely
- Keep company delivery vehicles organized and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Serve as the day-to-day point person for warehouse questions and material needs
- Help establish and maintain consistent warehouse procedures and expectations
- Assist with training employees on warehouse organization, material handling, equipment, and safety procedures
- Provide direction to warehouse and delivery team members when needed
- Work closely with Operations, installers, vendors, and office staff to resolve material or scheduling concerns
- Look for opportunities to improve warehouse organization, efficiency, safety, and overall material flow
What We're Looking For
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
- Previous warehouse, flooring, construction, logistics, delivery, or material-handling experience preferred
- Forklift experience preferred; training/certification can be provided
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently
- Dependable and proactive with a strong sense of ownership
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable using basic computer systems, mobile devices, and job or inventory tracking tools
- Ability to identify problems and follow them through to resolution
Physical Requirements
This is an active, hands-on position. Candidates must be able to:
- Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull flooring materials and other items weighing up to 80 pounds
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and perform other physical warehouse activities
- Safely operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment
- Load and unload delivery vehicles, including lifting materials above shoulder height when necessary
- Climb in and out of delivery vehicles and navigate job sites, including stairs and uneven surfaces
- Work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and inclement weather
- Safely use hand tools, warehouse equipment, computers, and mobile devices
