Your Role: Sales Intern – US Pet Health (Summer 2027)
As a Summer 2027 US Pet Health Sales Intern with Elanco Animal Health, you will be able to jump into the Pet Health Veterinary Sales organization and call on your own assigned accounts. You’ll have key goals (as outlined in your project) and will conduct business as if you’re a full-time Pet Health Veterinary Sales Representative.
Your Responsibilities:
Support and implement assigned programs and initiatives within your territory
Engage with veterinary customers and promote Elanco products and solutions using the Elanco sales process
Build and maintain relationships with veterinary customers and other stakeholders within your territory
Manage assigned activities, priorities, and follow-up to support territory objectives
Track and present project and territory results to Pet Health Veterinary Sales Leadership
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
Education: Currently enrolled in undergraduate studies. The US Pet Health sales internship program is limited to candidates with an anticipated degree completion date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028.
Top Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively by phone, in person, and through presentations. Highly motivated and self-driven, with a strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and leadership.
Driver certification or license is required, as this position will require travel.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
Have an interest in animal health and/or veterinary medicine
Experience in sales and/or customer service
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proven to be self-motivated, with demonstrated high level of responsibility and professionalism
Additional Information:
Travel: Regular travel required in conducting customer visits via car
Location: Field-Based – Various locations throughout the United States

Internship Dates: May 17th – August 6th, 2027
Competitive Salary: $20-$40/hour (dependent upon major and year in school)

Future opportunities: High-performing interns may be considered for full-time roles or additional internships, based on business needs.
