Responsibilities
The Opportunity
The Finance Analyst will be responsible for providing financial analysis, reporting, and business support for the Quaker Canada business, with a primary focus on COGS and P&L performance. The role will translate financial and operational data into actionable insights to support accurate forecasting, period-end close, performance management, and decision-making.
The position will partner closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to understand business drivers, identify risks and opportunities, and ensure financial results accurately reflect the underlying business performance.
Your Impact
As FP&A Analyst your responsibilities would consist of:
- Support accurate and timely Period-End Close and Forecast processes.
- Analyze P&L and COGS performance versus AOP, Forecast, and Year Ago.
- Identify and explain key financial and operational variances.
- Monitor key business drivers, including volume, mix, costs, and $/KG.
- Provide accurate financial data and insights to support business decisions.
- Partner with Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to understand business performance.
- Support AOP, Forecast, and financial reporting activities.
- Identify risks, opportunities, and process improvement initiatives.
- Support the implementation of process improvements and automation initiatives where applicable.
Qualifications
Who Are We Looking For?
Education
- Education: Finance, Economics, Engineering, Administration
Experience
- Minimum 2 years in Finance organization
- Computer literate – Advanced Excel, Power Point
- Language: Spanish / English fluent
- Understanding of a P&L and its drivers
- Blend of control and planning finance
- Ability to understand financial models and scenarios
- Strategic Thinking and Planning skills
- Skilled at collaborating across cross-functional teams and with a multicultural experience
