Requirements
Essential Functions:
- Lead challenging and educational practice sessions.
- Instruct group in accordance with YMCA guidelines and rules of the game.
- Uphold, model, teach and put the four (4) core values of the YMCA into action in all activities - everyday: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
- Maintain professional appearance and report on time to all scheduled programs.
- Strive to develop the qualities of leadership, initiative and good judgement in all athletes.
- Develop habits that promote good health and sound training rules.
- Create a positive and nurturing learning environment to instill and encourage youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
- Adhere to the directions given by the head coach and assist at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Experience with teaching and/or playing pickleball.
- Knowledge of rules and regulations of pickleball.
- Flexible schedule
- Certifications: CPR, AED, Basic First Aid certification.
- Previous experience working with children preferred.
- Must be able to demonstrate instructor skills in accordance with YMCA standards.
- Previous experience working with diverse populations preferred.
