Position Overview:

Giana Restaurant is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Prep Cook to join our culinary team. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in the kitchen, ensuring that all ingredients are prepared to the highest standards of quality and consistency. Key Responsibilities:

- Food Preparation: Accurately measure and prepare ingredients according to established recipes and portion sizes.

- Knife Skills: Demonstrate exceptional knife skills in chopping, slicing, and dicing various ingredients.

- Ingredient Organization: Maintain a well-organized and clean workstation, with attention to ingredient freshness and labeling.

- Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels, including restocking and rotating supplies.

- Quality Control: Ensure that all prepared ingredients meet the restaurant's high standards for freshness and quality.

- Adherence to Recipes: Follow detailed recipes and preparation procedures consistently.

- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the culinary team to prepare mise en place for service.

- Sanitation: Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation standards to maintain a clean and organized prep area.

- Efficiency: Work efficiently to meet the kitchen's needs during service.

- Communication: Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure the smooth flow of food preparation.

Requirements

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a prep cook in a professional kitchen is preferred but not required.

- Passion for food and a willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.
