Qualifications - MUST MEET MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION FOR EMPLOYMENT
* Two years minimum secondary market lending experience with a proven sales record is ideal. Less experience (in mortgage lending) could be considered depending on the nature of the experience.
* Must understand the legalities of mortgage lending and Bank guidelines in order to properly advise customers.
* Essential skills include initiative, organizational, the ability to multi-task and work under deadlines; to prioritize workload and to work independently according
to Bank policies and procedures.
* Overall effective communication skills and the ability to present oneself professionally with customers, investors, realtors, attorneys, insurance agents and
co-workers is imperative to success.
* Moderate knowledge of Word and Excel would be helpful; familiarity with Encompass would be a plus.
* Creativity to market the Bank would be helpful.
* A working knowledge of debits and credits and general accounting skills is desired.
* A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required. Must be available to attend after-hours functions and have flexibility to travel within the state.
Primary Objective - To solicit and recognize opportunities to assist the borrower with their mortgage lending needs in strict adherence to applicable federal and state rules and regulations and Bank policy and procedures.
Responsibilities – To generate new customer relationships through active solicitation, to maintain the quality of existing loans and to oversee the mortgage lending process as the main point of contact from application to close. Expectations - To strive to meet sales goals, to perform all job duties and other responsibilities as assigned and to follow all safety rules and regulations. Regular attendance according to the work schedule is necessary and essential as is receiving detailed information verbally, in person and by telephone. Extensive reading and computer use is expected the majority of the time.
